2024 marks the 150-year anniversary of Hawico being founded, one of the original manufacturers from the early days of the Industrial Revolution.
The history of Hawico can be traced all the way back to 1874 when The Hawick Hosiery Company was formed in Duke Street in Hawick. Indeed, Hawico still produce all their knitwear here today and the majority of the outer structure of the 19th century mill remains the same.
